Pella Corporation is partnering with the American Institute of Architects (AIA) on a mentorship program for architects at various stages in their careers. The program, which was formally introduced to the profession during the 2004 AIA National Convention in Chicago, educates architects about the roles and responsibilities of being a mentor and how to create a successful mentoring relationship.

Through a variety of communications tools Pella is working with the AIA to reach out to 72,000 AIA members, 2,500 Fellows of the Institute, and an estimated 5,000 architecture school graduates each year to tell them about the many mentoring opportunities available through the association. Full details about the mentoring initiative are available at http://www.aia.org/static/majicl.

The program is beneficial to both partners as mentoring is a core value at Pella Corporation and a culture of lifelong learning within the profession is a high priority for AIA. The sponsorship is also a natural complement to Pella's Architectural Scholarship program, founded in 1985, to further students understanding of architecture with an emphasis on quality fenestration design.

For more information about the mentoring initiative, please contact your local Pella representative.
